The Orchestra was formed in 1962 by Roger Stalman to encourage music-making for entertainment and education in the local area.
It performs four concerts each year and in recent years has featured internationally acclaimed soloists such as Peter Hanson, Viv McLean and David Pyatt as well as local soloists.
